Travel Thursday: Lunch at Applebee’s Fish Shop & Cafe– London

London is a city I should be visiting more often. I love its diversity, that I can walk down the street or hop on a bus and people are speaking different languages.  Getting on the tube is like a maze especially when  you have lived in a city that only has one line. People are helpful and it is not as complicated as I thought. I took the tube from Waterloo Station to London Bridge I was meeting up with Martin for lunch at Applebee’s. It’s situated at Borough Market– a foodies paradise.

I met up with Martin and as we were waiting for our table, we had a glass of wine–naturally. The decor  was simple but very fitting. You got a chilled yet homely feeling. The service was excellent, I loved the food and wine selection. I would definitely go get my taste buds tickled again, this time try their street food.

I had chili prawns as a starter, the food was so good I forgot to take a picture. My main dish was sumptuous. It was delicious, after this meal I was so full I didn’t have room for desert but there was a good bottle of red wine from Bordeaux, clearly, I enjoyed myself as I forgot to take pictures again.

It was a lovely afternoon and Martin let me know about a cruise coming up in May.
