Garlic Chicken

Hey all! It’s the weekend again. As I mentioned last week, I would fill you in on what I had last week’s couscous menu with. It’s a simple recipe. If you are allergic to garlic, you can either add onions or whatever you are currently obsessed with when it comes to condiments.

Garlic Chicken

Serves: 4 Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 500g of chicken breast
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic
  • 3 tbsp of lemon juice
  • sweet chili tomato paste
  • 3 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 3 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of Rosemerry
  • 1 tsp of basil
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

I prefer to wash the chicken breast first then dry it off

Cut the chicken breast into dices or slices ( it will cook quicker)

Add the dry spices oregano, black pepper and basil

Add the lemon juice and mix it thoroughly

Add the sweet chili tomato paste mix one more and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes

Take a wok pan or frying pan and add the oil

Sauté the garlic then take it out to put aside to be added later

Add the chicken and lightly fry while slowly adding the salt

Add the cup of water

Taste to see if more flavour or salt should be added

Put the cooker in low heat and allow to cook for 15 after the first time it boils

Notes

You can have this chicken with a tortilla, couscous or rice. Goes well with a semi-dry white wine or a chardonnay.

Add the ingredients and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes

Voila it’s ready to serve

 

You can also have this with rice or a tortillas whatever tickles your fancy!
